Rangers need a striker as Kenny Miller remains sidelined at Ibrox.

Graeme Murty has already secured the services of two players from down south this month in Jamie Murphy and Sean Goss and he must continue to scour that pool of players to bolster his Rangers side – this time up front.

Rangers are lacking in both cover and quality in the final third with veteran Kenny Miller likely to remain on the sidelines for much of the second half of the season after rupturing his hamstring.

Eduardo Herrera has hardly shown the quality required to boost Rangers in their aim to catch Old Firm rivals Celtic, while Josh Windass has impressed as a striker but is better used and more naturally suited in midfield.

That leaves Murty with just Alfredo Morelos as his only in-form, proven striker and that must be addressed before the end of the January transfer window with three weeks remaining before the window slams shut on January 31 at 11pm.

The Daily Mail claim Dutch side Ado Den Haag are interested in landing Watford outcast Jerome Sinclair on loan until the end of the season, after clocking up just 27 minutes of Premier League football this season with Marco Silva’s side.

But surely a move to Rangers would see the former Liverpool attacker shine, as he boasts all the qualities necessary to impress north of the border.

Jerome Sinclair of Watford during the pre season friendly match between Aston Villa and Watford at Villa Park on July 29, 2017 in Birmingham, England.

The Scottish Premiership is renowned for its quick, physical tempo and Sinclair’s rapidity and strength would see him hit the ground running if indeed Murty looked to sign Sinclair – who cost Watford £4million in 2016 according to the Sun.

At 21 years of age, Sinclair has found first-team opportunities hard to come by but he has impressed in Premier League 2, scoring nine goals in 30 second-string games as well as adding five assists.

Sinclair can offer cover out wide, another position in need of strengthening at Ibrox despite the signing of Murphy, making him the perfect third addition in Murty’s reign.
