The Hornets winger joined the Vicarage Road club just last summer but was largely used from the subs’ bench in 2018-19.
A number of Watford fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the news that Ken Sema has left Vicarage Road to join Serie A side Udinese on loan.
The Swedish winger joined the Hornets from Ostersunds FK in July last year and made 22 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing three assists, but he only started nine Premier League games (Transfermarkt).
Sema, who has a four-year contract at Watford, has not yet got any competitive minutes under his belt for Javi Gracia’s side this season, due partly to the arrival of Ismaila Sarr, who signed from Rennes for a club record fee of around £30million on transfer deadline day (Evening Standard).
With the 25-year-old now further down the pecking order at Vicarage Road, he has now joined the Zebrette – who, like Watford, are owned by the Pozzo family – and is expected to feature on their left flank, which according to Football Italia required bolstering.

According to the Evening Standard, Sema may not be the last Watford player to leave this summer, as strikers Isaac Success and Stefano Okaka are also believed to be attracting interest from clubs in Italy.
