Watford have brought 19-year-old midfielder Dele-Bashiru to Vicarage Road after leaving Manchester City.

A number of Watford fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the Premier League club signing Nigeria Under-20 international Tom Dele-Bashiru on a six-year deal (official Hornets website).
The 19-year-old central midfielder opted to leave the Etihad Stadium when his contract expired at the end of last season and, as per the Hornets’ statement, will be drafted into Javi Gracia’s first team.
Dele-Bashiru came through the ranks at Man City made his senior debut for Pep Guardiola’s side in the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Leicester City in 2017-18, coming on for Phil Foden in the 91st minute.
That was to be his only Citizens first-team appearance, but he has featured plentifully in the UEFA Youth League, Premier League 2, FA Youth Cup and the Checkatrade Trophy for the club’s youth sides.

Born in Manchester and having previously represented England at youth level, Dele-Bashiru featured for the Super Eagles at this summer’s Under-20 World Cup, scoring once in three games.
