The Hornets striker, on loan at Fortuna Dusseldorf, is “shocking the Bundesliga” according to the league’s Twitter account.

Dodi Lukebakio has not really made much of an impact at parent club Watford so far, but he continues to make a name for himself on loan at Fortuna Dusseldorf.
The 21-year-old Belgian joined the Hornets from Anderlecht in January this year but only made one 15-minute appearance for the club last season, according to Transfermarkt.
Lukebakio, whose contract runs to 2022, was sent on loan to the Bundesliga side ahead of the start of the 2018-19 campaign, as confirmed by the official Watford site.
He sent shockwaves through the German top flight when he scored a hat-trick against Bayern Munich in November for a 3-3 draw, plus going on to net the opener in a 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund.
Now, the league’s official Twitter account has admitted that Lukebakio was “shocking the Bundesliga” as he was awarded the Bundesliga Rookie award for his exploits in December:
Watford proudly retweeted the announcement on their own account, and some Hornets fans urged the club to recall him for their own use:
Lukebakio’s present goalscoring tally stands at 11 goals in 17 games in all competitions this season (Transfermarkt), an extraordinary conversion rate, so one would think Watford will look to give him a run in the first team when he returns.
