Watford fans have not exactly taken to former Sunderland midfielder Jack Rodwell, after his performance on trial with them yesterday.
Watford beat Fortuna Dusseldorf 3-1 in pre-season yesterday, with Rodwell surprisingly given a chance in the contest, after his move from the Stadium of Light.
Watford have taken a look at Rodwell, following his release from Sunderland.
But his performance yesterday may not have done enough to earn him a contract at Vicarage Road, if the reaction of Hornets fans is anything to go by.
Rodwell burned his bridges at Sunderland, with the midfielder becoming very unpopular at the Stadium of Light.
The former England international was once considered one of the best talents in the country, but his performance at Sunderland were terrible.
Watford are seemingly giving Rodwell a chance, to see if any of his old talents still remains.
If Watford did sign Rodwell he could add competition for places in midfield or defence over the upcoming campaign.
