A number of Watford fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the news that Cucho Hernandez has joined La Liga side Mallorca on a season-long loan deal after signing a new contract at Vicarage Road (official Hornets website).

The 20-year-old attacker joined Watford in the summer of 2017 from Spanish side Granada but is yet to play a game for the Hornets, having spent his time so far on the Premier League club’s books away on loan.

Hernandez spent the past two seasons on loan at Spanish outfit Huesca, helping them achieve promotion to La Liga before scoring against the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Valencia in the top flight.

The £9million-rated player (Transfermarkt) has also had a fruitful time at international level, scoring a hat-trick for Colombia in the Under-20 World Cup and netting a quickfire brace in a senior friendly against Costa Rica on his debut.

Here is what some Watford fans said on social media regarding Hernandez’s new contract and subsequent loan switch away from Vicarage Road:

Newly promoted Mallorca won their opening La Liga game of the season 2-1 against Eibar but fell to a 1-0 home defeat by Real Sociedad on Sunday.
