West Ham United sold Domingos Quina in the summer for just £1 million, and he has made an excellent start with their Premier League rivals.

Several Watford fans have taken to Twitter to mock West Ham over their decision to sell Domingos Quina in the summer after the midfielder scored an excellent goal in the weekend win over Cardiff City.

It surprised many during the previous window when it was announced that Quina had left the London Stadium to join the Hornets, especially after a summer in which he had helped Portugal win the under-19 European Championships.

What made the deal even more surprising was that the Daily Mirror reports that the move was worth just £1 million. That is starting to look like an incredible bargain.

Quina marked his Watford debut by scoring a screamer in the Carabao Cup tie at Reading, and he marked his second Premier League start for Javi Gracia’s men by scoring what proved to be the winner against Cardiff City on Saturday.

The teenager guided the ball into the corner superbly from the edge of the box to put Watford 3-0 up in a game that they would ultimately win 3-2.

His form since arriving at Vicarage Road has left a number of Watford fans on social media wondering what West Ham were thinking to let Quina go, especially for such a low amount. Interestingly, the two sides meet each other this weekend, and some supporters believe that he may come back to haunt his old club.
