Harry Kane has hailed Tottenham team-mate Kieran Trippier.
Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has told the club’s official website that he felt Kieran Trippier took his chance against Watford on Sunday afternoon.
With Kyle Walker suspended having picked up a fifth booking of the season against Southampton, Trippier was brought into the side for Sunday’s trip to Vicarage Road – and he certainly impressed.

Trippier’s through ball from the right hand side set up Harry Kane to make it 1-0, before he whipped in a stunning cross for Kane to add a second just minutes later.
Dele Alli then bagged a goal either side of half time to make it 4-0, and Younes Kaboul scrambled home a late consolation for the Hornets as the game ended in a 4-1 win for Tottenham.
Kane and Alli grabbed the plaudits, but right back Trippier filled in admirably with Walker missing, as his two assists for Kane set Spurs on their way to victory.

The former Burnley and Manchester City right back, 26, had started just five games this season before facing Watford, and that was his first Premier League start of the campaign, as he’s struggled to usurp the excellent Walker as Tottenham’s first-choice right back.
After the game, Kane spoke to Tottenham’s official website about Trippier’s performance, and thanked him for the two superb assists leading to his first-half goals.
Kane added that Trippier took his chance with a superb display, and noted that Spurs have great competition at both full back spots, whilst hoping that Trippier can gain confidence from his display.
“Big thanks to Kieran – they were a couple of great balls in, the second one was a great delivery from him and I was happy to be in the right place at the right time and finish them off, but it was down to Trips,” said Kane.
“The delivery he put in (for 2-0) was perfect. Every player wants to be playing but sometimes you have to be patient and wait for your chance and Kieran has taken it today. He’s shown the manager what he can do, we’ve got great competition in the full-back places – right and left-back – so it’ll give Trips the world of confidence and hopefully we can push on now and keep winning games,” he added.
