Everton lost 1-0 away at Watford on Saturday evening.

Everton slumped to yet another away defeat on Saturday evening as they were beaten 1-0 away at Watford thanks to Troy Deeney’s late winner.
The Toffees had been out of action for two weeks, but were looking to kick on from their 3-1 home win over Crystal Palace with a rare away win – but they lost yet again.
Sam Allardyce’s men appeared to be settling for a point after missed chances from Michael Keane and Oumar Niasse, but were made to pay late on as Deeney struck the winner for Watford.
That’s now four away league defeats in a row for Everton, and still just two wins in all competitions since the turn of the year as fans already start to turn on manager Allardyce.
Big Sam’s style of play hasn’t impressed many Everton supporters, and another negative display, with the Toffees clearly settling for a point before Deeney’s winner, hasn’t gone down well.
Allardyce also cut a frustrated figure on the sidelines at Vicarage Road, looking dejected and angry at his side’s disappointing display in Hertfordshire, as seen in the photos above and below.
That frustration is exactly how Everton fans are feeling right now, with widespread discontent at the results and brand of football on offer – and both Allardyce and supporters will be hoping for better fortunes against Burnley next week.
