Jamie Redknapp told Sky Sports during their live coverage of Aston Villa’s draw against Wolves that he’s heard Jaden Philogene-Bidace is a ‘very good’ player.
The 19-year-old, who was on the bench for Villa yesterday, is yet to earn his first minutes in the famous Claret and Blue top.
But given the likes of Jacob Ramsey have started for Villa recently, it won’t be too long before the quick-footed winger is putting opposition players on their backside.
And whilst Redknapp struggled to pronounce his name, he was sure to mention that he has heard good things about the youngster.
“There’s supposed to be a good young kid on the bench for Aston Villa,” said Redknapp.
“I cannot quite pronounce his name but I have heard a lot of good things about him.
“But my friend has told me ‘watch this kid play’. He’s meant to be very good.”

During the years leading up to Villa relegation, as the club was being run into the ground, so was the academy.
And whilst it produced one of its best players during that time – Jack Grealish – it still needed picking up and re-shaping again.
Villa are back on that track and from FA Cup hero Louis Barry to recent starter Jacob Ramsey, the future is looking bright for the kids in B6 and Philogene-Bidace isn’t any different.
