Shaun Wright-Phillips has stated that Arsenal are going to cause ‘problems’ for Liverpool at the Emirates on Wednesday night, as he told Premier League Productions.
The former Man City winger thinks teams need to ‘watch out’ for Arsenal, as he praised the Champions League-chasing side for how they have been performing this season.
Whilst Mikel Arteta has Champions League on his mind, for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp, they are right in the mix for the Premier League title.
Manchester City dropped points on Monday night and a possible three points against the in-form Gunners could see them close the gap at the top to just one point.
Nonetheless, this is what Wright-Phillips had to say about Arsenal and his warning to those on Merseyside ahead of tonight’s fixture.
“I feel like they are going to cause problems,” said Wright-Phillips. “I think especially with the way I have seen Arsenal defend of late.
“They have started keeping a lot of clean sheets. Ramsdale, we all know how good he is when it comes to shot-stopping.
“Partey and Xhaka have been really solid in there. It has given the licence to Odegaard in front of them, the wingers and Lacazette to express themselves
“People have to watch out for them, especially with the way they are going. They are flying and playing full of confidence.”

Klopp has already tasted victory at the Emirates when his Liverpool side were victorious during their two-legged League Cup affairs.
During both of those matches, Granit Xhaka and Thomas Parety saw red, and Arsenal fans will be hoping for more discipline in a few hours time.
A lot has been made about how this Arsenal side have improved and that will be tested against one of the best teams in Europe.
What have the Gunners learnt from their early-season woes and those three defeats to Liverpool? And can they finally send out a signal of intent?
Either way, this is a big game to see where Arteta and his players are sitting in their road of progression.
