Tottenham are said to be watching Sampdoria striker Manolo Gabbiadini, but reports in Spain suggest that Barcelona may step in.
It has been a breakthrough start to the season for Sampdoria marksman Manolo Gabbiadini and he may soon be leaving Serie A for a new challenge.
The 22-year-old is being touted as Tottenham’s answer to their striking woes with Emmanuel Adebayor struggling and Roberto Soldado a flop.
There have been reports that Tottenham have been watching Gabbiadini for some time and could be plotting a move either in January or next June.
But there may be a considerable stumbling block in the form of Catalan giants Barcelona.
If Barcelona want to challenge Tottenham for Gabbiadini they will be a formidable opponent in the market.
Barcelona are said to be considering Wissam Ben Yedder of Toulouse and Ajax man Viktor Fischer, but they may choose to add Gabbiadini to their shopping list.
