Some Crystal Palace supporters are discussing a January move for a Sheffield United midfielder.

Palace were one of the clubs credited with an interest in the Blades’ John Lundstram in the summer transfer window.

But Lundstram remained at Bramall Lane, where he is well into the final year of his contract.

Despite having stalled on Sheffield United’s offer of renewal, the 26-year-old has continued to feature regularly for Chris Wilder’s team, albeit not quite to the same high standards he set last season.

But the Blades will now reluctantly listen to offers for Lundstram, with whom Burnley, West Ham United, Brighton & Hove Albion and Rangers have been linked as well as Crystal Palace, after a further failed attempt to get him to sign, according to The Star.

And after the news started doing the rounds on Twitter earlier, the following Palace fans responded…

Crystal Palace currently employ Luka Milivojevic, Cheikhou Kouyate, James McArthur, James McCarthy, Jairo Riedewald and Max Mayer in Lundstram’s position, although the latter Eagles player is out of contract himself next summer.
