Andrea Pirlo has been one of the greatest midfielders of his generation, and he only re-affirmed his legend with an astounding performance against England last night.
But it was his chipped penalty, an ‘Panenka’ dubbed after the Czech who mastered it in ’76 which has got everybody talking.
To a new generation, it will be now known as ‘the Pirlo’.
