Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to Daniel Ek’s passionate statement that he wants to buy the club.
The Spotify founder told CNBC that he is ‘serious’ about buying Arsenal and has ‘secured the funds’ to do so.
But with the Kroenke’s unwilling to sell, it seems as though, Ek, will have to be in it for the long haul – and he’s willing to go down that path.
All of this is music to the ears of Arsenal supporters, who just want some belief that their club can move forward.
Arsenal have declined at a staggering rate under their American owners and there doesn’t seem to be any signs that the decline won’t stop.
And given that a boyhood Arsenal fan, someone who has the interests of the fans at heart, want to buy the club then it’s understandable that it has got the supporters excited.
But regardless of how hard Ek tries, he clearly needs the Kroenke’s to be willing to listen to offers for that excitement to turn into real belief.
