Fabio Capello has told The Sun that Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has changed star striker Harry Kane.
The former England and Juventus boss has noted that Tottenham striker Kane was not at his best in the opening months of the season.
Capello believes that the failed transfer to Manchester City last summer affected Kane.
The Italian believes that his compatriot Conte changed the Tottenham striker after he took change of the North London club.
Fabio Capello on Tottenham duo and Kane and Conte
Capello told The Sun: “Kane has improved a lot after the offer from City. I saw a lot of his early games last season and he had lost something.
“He wasn’t the same player. He wasn’t focused. Now he’s really involved in every moment, doing everything that Conte has asked him.
“I saw another Kane when Conte arrived. Kane will be a really important player at the World Cup.
“Not a lot of teams can say ‘We have a really good forward’. Maybe only France with Kylian Mbappe. Technically, Kane is really, really good. For me, he’s one of the best strikers in the world.”

Back in form
As Fabio Capello has noted, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane did not start the season strongly.
The 28-year-old striker was not at his best in the opening weeks and months of the season, and Nuno’s tactics did not help him either.
However, since Conte was appointed the Tottenham boss, Kane has been superb and is now back to his best.
Tottenham fans can look forward to watching one of the best strikers in the world in full flow next season.
Kane ended the Premier League season with 17 goals and nine assists.
