According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 59, June 3, 2018), Cardiff City are interested in signing Oumar Niasse from Everton in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Cardiff want to sign Niasse on a season-long loan deal this summer and then make the move permanent for a low fee at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

This report comes less than two weeks after Cardiff manager Neil Warnock jokingly suggested that he would be happy to sign the 28-year-old striker (click here to read more).

According to a report in The Sun last month, the Senegal international was at the heart of a dressing room problem at Everton.

Warnock jokingly said on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfas show on talkSPORT on May 24, 2018: “I think they should let him go for about £1 million to me, and let me have the problem. Then your dressing room will be perfect!”

Could Warnock have been serious about signing Niasse from Everton after all? The report in The Sun on Sunday suggests so.

The Senegal international is a decent striker, and he would be a smart signing for the Bluebirds, especially if they get him on loan or for a low transfer fee.

The 27-year-old, who earns £55,000 per week as salary according to Spotrac.com, scored eight goals and provided two assists in 10 Premier League starts for Everton this past season.
