Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter to Neco Williams claiming that he feels he can earn ‘good game time’ during this forthcoming season, as he told the club’s official website.
The 20-year-old has been back-up to his fellow academy product, Trent Alexander-Arnold in recent years.
And given that the Englishman is one of the world’s best in his position, it’s pretty hard to dethrone him from his spot.
But Williams thinks now could be the time to push his career to a new level.
The Wales international, who was part of Euro 2020, shared that he ‘feels good’ and he thinks he can push both Trent and Andy Robertson for their spots.
Liverpool fans simply cannot see Williams being granted his wish of earning those extra minutes at Anfield.
Some feel that he is better off either leaving on a permanent basis or heading to the Championship on loan.
The latter would do Williams the world of good because playing in England’s second-tier has transformed and been the birth of many great players.
