Speaking on the Premier League’s YouTube channel, Ibrahima Konate has spoken about his friendship with Joe Gomez since arriving at Liverpool.
The centre-half joined Liverpool in the summer, and he’s seemingly settled in brilliantly on Merseyside.
Indeed, he’s come straight into the team and made a big impact on the pitch, but it sounds as though he’s also found his feet in the dressing room.
Konate says that Gomez has been a big help, claiming that he would always speak to him and help him with his adaptation to his new surroundings.
What’s Konate said about Gomez?
Konate has been speaking about the help he received from Gomez when he was settling in England.
“Yes, Joe Gomez is my brother, but I am good friends with all players on this team. When I came it was not easy, it was a new country and it’s not the same language, but he (Gomez) spoke a lot with me and this was good for the adaptation and this was great,” Konate said.

Brilliant
How good is it to hear this?
In a more toxic dressing room, Gomez may have been cold to Konate. After all, this is a talented young player who has come to the club to take his spot in the team, but the spirit at Liverpool is so positive that all he wanted to do was help.
It can be so difficult for a player to move to a new club, especially after a pandemic, but it seems as though Konate has settled in Liverpool brilliantly and it sounds like his teammates have been great with him.
