Salomon Rondon joined Newcastle United on loan from West Bromwich Albion in the summer of 2018.

Rondon joined Premier League outfit Newcastle on a season-long loan deal from Championship club West Brom in the summer of 2018.
The 29-year-old striker has made 14 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Magpies so far this campaign, scoring five goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
Cardiff have recently signed striker Oumar Niasse on loan from Everton in the January transfer window until the end of the season.
Warnock has revealed that he wanted to secure the services of Rondon – who joined West Brom from Zenit St Petersburg in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £12 million – before he moved to Newcastle.
Warnock told The Independent regarding Rondon: “Yeah, I would have liked him. But it was not to be.”

Big game
Cardiff will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Newcastle away from home at St. James’ Park in the Premier League.
With both the Bluebirds and the Magpies fighting for survival in the top flight of English football, today’s game is massive for the two clubs.
