Watford defender Juan Carlos Paredes is currently on loan at Olympiakos, who are owned by Nottingham Forest’s new boss Evangelos Marinakis.

Nottingham Forest are hoping to embark on a more successful campaign next term, after narrowly avoiding relegation to League One this season.
The club still have a relatively new manager in Mark Warburton and they now have a new owner, with Greek shipping magnate and Olympiakos president Evangelos Marinakis taking over from the unpopular Fawaz Al-Hasawi.
The combination of Warburton and Marinakis might make Nottingham Forest the perfect location for Watford outcast Juan Carlos Paredes this summer.
In January it was being reported that Warburton, then Rangers manager, wanted to bring the Ecuador international to Ibrox. The Daily Record reported that Warburton wanted the player in the winter, with a fee of £2 million mentioned.

In the end he headed elsewhere, joining Marinakis’ Olympiakos on loan until the end of the season with an option to make the move permanent.
He has proven Championship quality, playing 39 times in Watford’s promotion-winning campaign of 2014-15.

Forest need new recruits all over the pitch and one like Paredes, who has proved himself at this level, could be perfect for Warburton next term.
With Marinakis controlling his Greek destiny, it could be fairly simple for Forest to have the 69-cap international pushed toward the City Ground next season.
