Rangers boss Mark Warburton has told the club’s official website that Jordan Rossiter will be available for selection against Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Friday night.

The Gers return from the international break on Friday evening with a trip to Inverness, as they look to build on their 2-0 home win over Partick Thistle last time out.

Manager Warburton needs to string a run of results together having suffered defeats to rivals Celtic and Aberdeen in September, and he has been handed a major boost on the injury front.

Midfielder Jordan Rossiter has featured in just three Scottish Premiership games so far this season, and has missed the last six weeks with a calf injury in what has been a stop-start opening to his Ibrox career.

Last seen against Kilmarnock back in August, Rossiter has been missed in the Rangers midfield – especially given that Joey Barton has been suspended in recent weeks.

Now though, the 19-year-old midfielder – widely touted as one of Rangers’ best signing having lured the teenager away from Liverpool over the summer – looks set to return and bring some tenacity to the Rangers midfield.

Speaking to the Rangers official website earlier today, manager Warburton stated that he was pleased to see Rossiter returning to training during the international break, which has given the youngster time to get bedded back into the team.

Warburton added that Rossiter is available for selection against Inverness, but noted that it may be another ten days before he is at full fitness.

“It’s good to see everyone back, it was pleasing to welcome Jordan Rossister back, and it’s been great work by the medical team to get him fit again,” said Warburton. “Jordan will be available for the weekend but might be a week to 10 days away, in terms of making sure he’s 100% right,” he added.
