Rangers are looking to add one or two new signings during the January transfer window.
Rangers manager Mark Warburton has told the club’s official YouTube channel that he has his eye on ‘one or two’ targets for the January transfer window.
The Gers have picked up two positive results in a row, as they beat Aberdeen and Hearts at Ibrox 2-1 and 2-0 respectively, keeping Warburton’s men in the box seat for second place in the Scottish Premiership.

After a stop-start opening to the campaign though, Warburton will want to bring in January reinforcements, and midfield is a particular area of concern for the Rangers manager.
Joey Barton had his contract terminated after just eight games for the club, Niko Kranjcar is out for the rest of the season through injury, whilst Matt Crooks and Jordan Rossiter have missed considerable playing time this season due to nagging knocks.

Ahead of the January transfer window, Rangers have been linked with a host of players. The Daily Mail recently claimed that Porto’s Joao Teixeira – who worked with recruitment chief Frank McParland at Liverpool – was a target for the midfield, whilst The Scottish Sun reported that it was Eibar’s Jota being lined up for a move to Glasgow.
Elsewhere, US newspaper Metro recently claimed that Rangers were keen on Portland Timbers striker Fanendo Adi, but the MLS side are unwilling to sell their giant Nigerian centre forward to the Gers.
Rangers boss Warburton has unsurprisingly been asked about his January plans, and told the club’s official YouTube channel it’s dangerous to bring in a lot of players midway through the season.
Warburton added that he has one or two targets in mind, and he’s hoping to get them over the line in January to give Rangers a boost heading into the second half of the campaign.
It is far more dangerous to bring in too many than too few”, he said at a press conference. “We have one or two that we’re looking at and if we can get them over the line then all well and good”, Warburton added.
