Werder Bremen sporting director Frank Baumann has told Weser-Kurier how reported Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers target Milot Rashica is ready to move.

The Kosovo international has been heavily linked with a summer switch.

Liverpool have been strongly linked in a March report by Deichstube. Wolverhampton Wanderers, meanwhile, also make up Premier League interest (Der Spiegel).

The talented winger has a £33 million release clause at Werder Bremen.

The Bundesliga club, however, could end up losing him for cheaper should they go down. Bremen are second bottom with one game remaining.

Baumann claims Rashica is ready to say his farewells in Bremen’s clash with Cologne.

“He is very interested in saying goodbye here and the Werder fans have positive memories of him. Milot has aroused the interest of other clubs through his performances, which he has shown for a long time. Basically, it is absolutely okay that he also wants to take the next step at some point. If a competitor has a specific interest, we have to sit down and find a solution,” Baumann explained.

Could Milot Rashica be heading to the Premier League?

Rashica was on fine form prior to the Covid-19 suspension, posting seven goals and four assists despite Werder Bremen’s struggles.

Since the restart, his form has tailed off. However, with heavy speculation over his future, it is likely the winger has been distracted by a potential move.

Recently crowned Premier League champions Liverpool may be looking at Rashica as a possible back-up to wide players Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.

The Reds will want to strengthen regardless of their dominance this season.

Wolves, on the other hand, may see Rashica as an ideal acquisition. The winger is young, energetic and has a potentially high re-sale value – qualities which the Midland club seek.
