Speaking to GiveMeSport, Italian journalist, Rudy Galetti, has shared what he knows about Declan Rice’s future amid links to Arsenal.
The Gunners have been linked with Rice over the past few weeks, and according to The Times, the England star is the north London club’s top target heading into the summer.
Galetti has backed that up, stating that Rice remains a priority for Arsenal.
Interestingly, the reporter says that there have recently been new contacts between the two parties in which Mikel Arteta was involved, and apparently, Arsenal came away from these discussions believing that Rice wants to join them.

Rice wants the move
Galetti shared what he knows about Rice and Arsenal.
“Declan Rice, for sure, remains a priority for Arsenal in the summer,” Galetti said
“There are some updates because the Gunners have the West Ham midfielder in their sights and first contact to collect preliminary information already happened.
During January, there were new contacts in which Arteta was directly involved. No personal terms have been under discussion with the entourage of Declan Rice, but Arsenal understood that the player wants to join them.”
Get it done
If Rice wants to join Arsenal, the Gunners need to make sure they get this deal done.
After missing out on their main midfield targets in January, the north London club could make a huge statement of intent by landing Rice in the summer window.
The player is likely to be on the market after a tough season with West Ham, and after failing to land big-money targets such as Moises Caicedo and Mykhaylo Mudryk in January, Arsenal should be ready to splash the cash at the end of this season.
Arsenal need to get this transfer over the line.
