Ally McCoist and Chris Sutton have been arguing about Cameron Carter-Vickers on BT Sport, which prompted the latter to make a claim about Rangers.
What’s the story?
Well, Sutton was being wound up by McCoist following comments from the Celtic icon describing Carter-Vickers as “sensational” so far this season.
After McCoist disagreed, Sutton took to Twitter to suggest that the Rangers legend is just “upset” because Connor Goldson wants to leave.
The 29-year-old’s contract at Ibrox expires in June, and despite a new deal being on the table for some time, he is yet to accept it (Football Scotland).
You can see what Sutton tweeted in full below.
Clearly, the 48-year-old believe Goldson could follow Steven Gerrard in walking away from Rangers.
John Souttar is said to be joining Giovanni van Bronckhorst in Glasgow, so perhaps talk of Goldson leaving is true (The Glasgow Times).
Rangers shouldn’t worry about Connor Goldson

If Goldson does leave Rangers, the signing of Souttar should ease the pain.
In our view, the Hearts colossus is better than the £3.5m defender.
Souttar is four years younger than Goldson at 25, and also boasts four caps for Scotland.
He is right in the midst of his prime years, whereas Goldson is surely set to begin his decline soon with his thirties on the horizon.

Of course, it would still be sad to see the Englishman leave regardless, although the signing of Souttar compensates sufficiently for any potential exit.
To add to that, Souttar would arrive on a free transfer when his contract with Hearts expires in June, so this beneficial swap won’t cost a penny.
