The Dutch youth international has struggled to establish himself in Portugal.

Back in November 2014 it was being reported by the Daily Star that Tottenham Hotspur were interested in the signature of talented Dutch winger Bilal Ould-Chikh of FC Twente.
The report claimed that Tottenham, along with Borussia Dortmund and Fiorentina, were looking to sign the player for his release clause of £500,000.
The then 17-year-old was clearly a class act in the making and Spurs were facing a battle to get hold of him.
But now, they could sign him for absolutely nothing.
In the end Ould-Chikh decided the best place for his development was Benfica.
He joined the Portuguese side in July 2015 on a five-year deal but has already left the club. It was confirmed at the start of the month that Ould-Chikh had cancelled his contract at Benfica by mutual consent. It came with the Dutch teenager never having played a single game for the Lisbon club.

He is now, as reported by NOS, training with FC Utrecht with a view to a permanent deal.
But if Tottenham Hotspur remain interested in the player they could surely offer him a spell on trial at the club to perhaps prove himself worthy of a contract at Hotspur Way.
Just over two years since Spurs wanted him, he is now available on a free.
Tottenham could easily get their man … finally.
