Antonio Conte-led Tottenham Hotspur are in talks to bring Dusan Vlahovic to the Premier League but Fiorentina captain Cristiano Biraghi hopes to see the striker stay in Serie A, speaking to Tuttomercatoweb.
It seems for all the world as though Biraghi – and everyone connected with a rejuvenated La Viola – will be disappointed.
A few weeks ago, Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso confirmed Vlahovic had rejected a new contract at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
And, with his current deal set to expire in little more than 18 months, Fiorentina may have no choice but to part ways with one of Europe’s most exciting young forwards sooner rather than later.
According to Calciomercato, Tottenham are in talks over a deal that would see Vlahovic join forces with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min in north London.
Spurs managing director Fabio Paratici has been trying to sign the self-confident Serb since his days at Juventus and it seems Antonio Conte shares his admiration for Serie A’s current top scorer (Daily Mail).
Could Conte tip the balance to bring Dusan Vlahovic to Tottenham?
“Dusan can make the difference in any team. He has the qualities to become one of the best strikers in the world if he keeps up his consistency,” Biraghi says of a man who has scored ten goals in 12 games this season.

“He is, alongside (Erling) Haaland and (Robert) Lewandowski, the most prolific player in club football in 2021. His level is (the same).
“He doesn’t just score, he sacrifices a lot. Having him in the team is fundamental for us. We want to keep him. Those who don’t have him, on the other hand, would like to sign him. That is normal given his talent.
“As long as he wears this shirt, he will give everything for Fiorentina.”
Vlahovic, who is also reportedly a target for Arsenal and Liverpool, has received his fair share of criticism after turning down a new contract at Fiorentina.
The 21-year-old has let his football do the talking, however, turning the jeers into cheers with a terrific hat-trick against Spezia last weekend.
