Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media are over the moon after reports linked them with a move for Lille right-back Zeki Celik.
Tottenham certainly need a new right-back this summer after what have been largely indifferent seasons for Matt Doherty and Serge Aurier, and Celik looks as though he’d be a great option.
Celik has just been crowned as a league champion with Lille, beating Mauricio Pochettino’s PSG side to the title, and it’s fair to say that Spurs fans have been impressed by what they’ve seen from the Turkish international.
Indeed, Spurs fans were desperate to see Celik signed this summer, and to be fair, we can understand why.
Celik has been excellent for Lille this term, and he could be a solution to Spurs’ long-standing right-back woes.
Of course, whether or not a deal comes to fruition remains to be seen, but if Celik does end up joining Tottenham it would undoubtedly be a popular signing in north London.
