West Ham United are reportedly interested in manager Walter Mazzarri

According to Gianlucadimarzio.com, Walter Mazzarri is among the candidates to replace Slaven Bilic at West Ham United.
The Croat is under pressure in East London as West Ham sit 15th in the Premier League table with just seven points in seven games.
Carlo Ancelotti was previously linked but it’s another Italian in Mazzarri who the Irons’ hierarchy are reportedly looking at.

And could such an appointment strengthen the Hammers’ cause to sign a man who Bilic reportedly wanted in the summer?
Gazzamercato reported in August that West Ham were interested in signing Bologna midfielder Saphir Taider.
The 25-year-old joined the Serie A outfit from Inter Milan in 2015. Who brought him to San Siro? You guessed it – Mazzarri.

The Italian manager only spent one full season with the Nerazzurri but Taider made 25 league appearances during that year, before falling out of favour and enduring failed loan spells at Southampton and Sassuolo.
But it certainly seems as if West Ham would have a better shot at signing him with Mazzarri at the helm than without him. Taider, whose contract expires in 2019, has made 53 Serie A games for Bologna since joining.
