CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs has reported on Twitter that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal could walk away from a potential deal for Chelsea transfer target Mykhailo Mudryk if Shakhtar Donetsk do not accept their final offer.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that if Arsenal have their final offer for Mudryk turned down, then the Gunners will simply walk away and abandon their pursuit of the 22-year-old winger.
Jacobs have claimed that Arsenal and Chelsea are keen on signing the winger in the January transfer window.
The Sun have also reported that Arsenal and Chelsea are keen on signing Mudryk, who is valued at £88 million by Ukrainian Premier League club Shakhtar.

Sensible stance of Arsenal on Mykhailo Mudryk
In our opinion, Arsenal are being very sensible regarding Mykhailo Mudryk of Shakhtar Donetsk.
Shakhtar may want £88 million for the 22-yea-old, but that does not mean that Arsenal should pay it.
No club should pay £88 million for a 22-year-old who has not played outside of Ukraine.
Arsenal should not pay over the odds for the winger even if they think highly of him.
The Gunners are aiming to win the Premier League title this season and have also progressed to the knockout rounds of the UEFA Europa League.
