The Royals ace captained the Dragons in their 1-0 friendly win over Trinidad & Tobago.

Wales manager Ryan Giggs has praised Reading defender Chris Gunter for what he did in Thursday’s 1-0 friendly win over Trinidad & Tobago.
A youthful Dragons side did well against the 2006 World Cup competitors in Wrexham, securing victory thanks to an injury-time goal.
Liverpool’s Ben Woodburn turned the ball home in the 91st minute to give Wales the victory ahead of their opening Euro 2020 against Slovakia on Sunday at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Gunter, the only player on the night to have played in the previous national fixture in the town, made a crucial clearance off the line to deny Aubrey David in the second half and helped preserve a clean sheet.
Speaking after the game, Giggs spoke of how good it is to have a knack for scoring late goals but also highlighted the importance of a clean sheet, which he credited the captain highly for.

“A win leaves you with a better feeling obviously, and to score late on, if a team has that sort of trait, it’s brilliant to have and that’s what I’ve said to the lads,” he told Sky Sports News.
“If you keep a clean sheet, you’ve always got a chance and we’ve got Gunter to thank for that with the clearance off the line, but they kept going and it wasn’t easy. I was really pleased with that.”
Wales, who will be hoping to qualify for their second European Championships in a row, were making their first appearance at the Wrexham Racecourse in more than a decade, with John Toshack being at the helm when the Dragons defeated Norway 3-0 in February 2008.
