At Tottenham, Davies usually plays at left-back, but he is generally selected in a three-man defence for his nation.
And Davies seem to struggle in the more unfamiliar position against a side with the quality of Spain.
Luis Enrique’s men carved about Wales on numerous occasions, as they strolled to success.
And fans watching were critical of Davies’ display in the contest, with the Tottenham man coming in for criticism on social media website Twitter.
Davies has not been at his best for Tottenham this season either, with Danny Rose putting pressure on his spot in the starting line-up.
