Tottenham Hotspur fans haven’t seen much of Joe Rodon this season, but Wales fans are buzzing to see him back in training.
The centre back joined Tottenham from Swansea City in October 2020, but only made eight Premier League starts in his first top-flight campaign.
Rodon is yet to make a competitive start under new Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo, and now needs to compete with Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and new signing Cristian Romero.
The 23-year-old has been dealing with niggling injuries of late, but Tottenham have received a boost ahead of this weekend’s game at Crystal Palace.
The official Twitter account of the Welsh national team have posted a photo of Rodon back in training, claiming he has been through a ‘successful rehabilitation’.
That means Rodon may now be in contention to play for Wales against Estonia on Wednesday night with World Cup qualifiers still ongoing.
That’s great news for Tottenham as they look for Rodon to get back playing, but Wales fans are absolutely buzzing.

Wales fans called the news ‘absolutely massive’ and ‘huge’, believing they need Rodon’s leadership at the back.
Some were so concerned by James Lawrence’s display against Belarus that they want Rodon straight back in.
Others called it ‘brilliant’ and ‘wonderful’, with Rodon clearly popular among Wales fans – and Tottenham supporters will surely be excited too.
