Wales fans on Twitter aren’t liking the look of Leeds United striker Tyler Roberts.

The 19-year-old hitman started up front in Wales’ 2-1 Nations League defeat at home to Denmark on Friday night.

But Roberts, a £4 million signing [Daily Mail] by Leeds in January, struggled to make much of an impact and manager Ryan Giggs hauled him off after 68 minutes.

It was only the youngster’s second start for Wales, and he will do well to keep his place in the first XI against Albania next week.

Here is how some Welsh supporters reacted to the Leeds star’s display:

In Roberts’s defence, this is a 19-year-old kid who can and definitely will get a lot better in the near future.

He has three goals in seven Championship starts for Leeds this season, underlining his status as a rising star in English football.

The youngster might have flattered to deceive against the Danes, but this was also a game that saw Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey struggle. It doesn’t mean that Ramsey is a poor footballer and Roberts, like the Gunners star, will bounce back from this display.
