Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to reveal an intriguing theory as to why Jose Mourinho dropped Moussa Sissoko.
The £30 million signing from Newcastle was named on the bench in Tottenham’s last two Premier League outings against Sheffield United and Liverpool.
That happened despite the fact the 31-year-old has featured quite often this season.
He has started 12 Premier League games, while making 15 Premier League appearances in total.

Why was he dropped? Well, nobody knows for certain, but some Spurs fans think it has something to do with comments made by Sissoko recently.
After the 1-1 draw against Fulham, the 65-cap France international said that Tottenham could ‘easily’ win 4-0, but they’re too defensive.
He added that this approach to games perhaps isn’t the best option.
Interestingly, Sissoko hasn’t played a single second of football since he said this.
Of course, there have only been two games since the ex-Newcastle man’s comments, although the timing of his exclusion is certainly intriguing.

The supporters below believe Mourinho has an ego problem, and that the ex-Chelsea boss retaliated after hearing what Sissoko said about his style of football.
If the Tottenham No.17 remains on the sidelines, we presume these comments will make their way into the spotlight a little bit more.
Let’s see what the Spurs fans on Twitter have been saying…
