Everton fans have taken to Twitter to react after West Ham announced the signing of Nikola Vlasic from CSKA Moscow.
What’s the story?
Firstly, you might be wondering why this news concerns Everton fans.
Well, Vlasic actually used to play for the Toffees, albeit during a seriously turbulent spell at Goodison Park.
The 23-year-old was at Everton from 2017 to 2019, although he made just 19 appearances before joining CSKA Moscow in a £14m deal.
Vlasic has since thrived in Russia, scoring 33 goals and providing 21 assists in 108 appearances.
Now, the Hammers have paid £25m to bring him back to the Premier League, where he didn’t really get a chance to prove himself.
It’s a deal which should mark the end of West Ham’s Jesse Lingard pursuit.
Everton’s loss is West Ham’s gain

In our view, Everton were far too quick to offload Vlasic.
The 26-cap Croatia international was signed by Ronald Koeman, but things were flipped on their head when the Dutchman was sacked.
Sam Allardyce then came in, and never gave Vlasic an opportunity.
We feel the Toffees probably should’ve loaned the Croatian out until the management situation settled down.

Amid the chaos of the Koeman and Allardyce era, Everton clearly allowed a very good attacking player to slip through their fingers.
Only time will tell if he becomes a success with West Ham.
For now, let’s see what the Everton fans on Twitter have been saying about West Ham’s announcement…
