Aston Villa fans have reacted on Twitter to the rumour they are to submit a third bid for Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe.
The Mirror have claimed on Sunday that Villa will submit an offer of £32.5 million for the Arsenal transfer academy product – all of this is after two opening bids were rejected.
This has caused quite a reaction from the Villa fans as their club is seemingly being serious in their quest to sign the ball-carrying expert.
Both Villa and Arsenal have been involved in some transfer tussles this summer, including the Midlands outfit seemingly beating the London club to the signing of Emi Buendia.
But this talk about Smith Rowe just isn’t going away, as Villa fans still have mixed feelings about the player.
Whilst many would have probably turned their head at such talk a couple of weeks ago, now many are questioning whether such a deal can now actually happen.
The question has to be asked, amid the Smith Rowe contract talks with Arsenal, what do Villa know that makes them so adamant to push for the Englishman’s talents?
Something must be bubbling away under the surface and it would be quite the shock transfer if Villa do indeed secure his talents.
Of course, all of that can be blown out of the water by the boyhood Arsenal fan penning a new deal at the Emirates.
But whilst there is a lack of movement in that department, this saga will just continue to drag on.
