Vurnon Anita joined Leeds United on a three-year contract this week.
Vurnon Anita has told LUTV that Leeds United fans can look forward to seeing a “competitor” who “always wants to win” next season.
The Netherlands international signed a three-year deal at Leeds on Thursday following his release from Newcastle United this summer.
The 28-year-old, who spent five years with the Magpies, becomes the Whites’ fifth signing in a very productive summer transfer window so far.

He gained a reputation as something of a utility man during his time in the North-East, joining as a midfielder but has since spent time playing right-back and left-back.
Asked by LUTV about his ideal position, Anita said: “I can play almost everywhere, but I’m a midfield player normally.
“I can play right-back or left-back. Where the coach needs me I will play, but normally it is midfield.”
Then asked by LUTV what the fans can expect of him, Anita added: “I’m a competitor. I want to fight and I like to win – I always want to win – so they’re the main things.”
Quite a lot of Newcastle fans were sad to see him leave and that is because Anita was an exemplary figure for a lot of his time at St James’s Park and Leeds have certainly signed a committed player.
It would be handy for United if Anita – who helped the Magpies to Premier League promotion last season – was willing to do a stint at left-back next term, following the sale of Charlie Taylor.
