Leeds United will need to find a new starting left-back with Gaetano Berardi out with suspension.

Gaetano Berardi’s three match ban for head butting Bristol City striker Matt Taylor may hand Vurnon Anita another chance to impress at Leeds United.
Anita joined Leeds from Newcastle United during the summer transfer window and the Dutchman was immediately thrown straight into Thomas Christiansen’s starting line-up.
However, Anita was not in Leeds’ squad for three of their last four matches, and only played seven minutes against Bristol City.

Already there were concerns starting to form that Anita’s move to Elland Road may not work out.
But Berardi’s time on the sidelines means that Anita now looks likely to come back into Leeds’ team.

The Whites will need to find a new left-back in their current squad, and Anita appears to be Christiansen’s most likely replacement to step in to replace Berardi.
If Anita is given the nod by Christiansen he will be eager to impress, as he looks to show why Leeds brought him to Yorkshire during the most recent transfer window.
