Who do you think performed best for Leeds United during their 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest?
Chris Wood’s 20th goal of the season helped Leeds United to victory over a struggling Nottingham Forest side, taking the club up to third in the Championship. New Zealand international Wood, who has really come to life under Garry Monk, slotted home from close range after Forest failed to clear a corner. The goal was his sixth in his past four league appearances.
Souleymane Doukara also thundered home a stunning 20-yard volley to seal the win. The strike, which echoed of Tony Yeboah’s wonder goal back in 1995, sealed another impressive win for Monk’s men, who are marching on confidently towards the Premier League. Forest did go close at 0-0, but an excellent Rob Green save denied Forest striker Britt Assombalonga.
Leeds’ Souleymane Doukara scores a stunning volley
So who was your top performer for Leeds United last night? There were a number of excellent candidates to choose from. Could it be Rob Green? Whose save in the opening stages of the game arguably kept the momentum going in Leeds’ direction? Or perhaps Pontus Jansson, who kept Nottingham Forest’s Britt Assombalonga quiet for most of the night?
Could it be Kemar Roofe? Who ran Nottingham Forest’s full-backs ragged last night and continued to run the channels well? Or perhaps Chris Wood for scoring his 20th season? Or does it have to go to Souleymane Doukara for that stunning goal? Make your vote below!
