Leeds United host Sheffield Wednesday in a massive game towards the top of the Championship.
Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal and Leeds United manager Garry Monk
Sheffield Wednesday travel to Elland Road to face Leeds United this weekend in a game that could have major implications in the race for the Championship play-off places, but what result are you expecting from the Yorkshire derby?
The two teams could barely be much closer together in the table currently. Leeds are fifth at the moment, but find themselves on the same number of points as the Owls – who occupy the final play-off spot in sixth. The only difference between the two is that the Whites’ goal difference is one goal better.
And while they are both flying high, neither is going into this game off the best run of form.
Garry Monk’s men have won just one of their last four and have arguably looked some way short of their best for much longer.

Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday had won their previous four before they hosted Brentford in midweek. However, the Bees left Hillsborough with the three points as they claimed a 2-1 victory over Carlos Carvalhal’s side, and it would perhaps be fair to say that those four consecutive victories did not tell the whole story about their form, as three of those wins were narrow to say the least.
Leeds perhaps hold a slight psychological edge having won the previous meeting between the two teams. However, that game came all the way back in August so it would be a surprise if either manager was thinking too heavily about how that game played out.

But who will take a significant step towards securing their play-off spot this weekend? Now is your chance to vote for how you think Saturday’s game will go…
