Arsenal have been heavily linked with Athletico-PR wonderkid Vitor Roque in recent days.
Goal Brasil reported in February that the Gunners were in the race for the 18-year-old alongside the likes of Barcelona.
They also claimed Arsenal chief Edu Gaspar made contact with the player’s entourage to learn more about his current situation.

Admittedly, the Gunners aren’t frontrunners in the date for Roque. The youngster seems to favour a move to Barca.
Nonetheless, Arsenal and fellow suitors Chelsea may have just received a boost in their pursuit of the young forward.
Spanish outlet Sport – via Sport Witness – have pointed out how Roque’s father, Juvenal Ferreira, is currently in London.
He posted a picture on his Instagram captioned “I love Londres”.
Apparently, Roque’s entourage ‘doesn’t want to leave aside’ the offers from the Premier League.
And the Sport story names Arsenal and Chelsea as clubs who follow him ‘from close’.
In addition, the report says Juvenal Ferreira has also visited Paris Saint-Germain and will be in Barcelona at the weekend.
Realistic target?
Arsenal’s Brazilian links mean the Gunners will surely fancy their chances of signing Roque.
However, competition for the player is strong, with other elite players also in the race.
If Arsenal manage to sign Roque, they’d be getting themselves an outstanding talent.

He has already made more than 50 competitive senior appearances for Athletico and former club Cruzeiro.
Meanwhile, his tally with Brazil’s Under-20s reads 11 games, six goals.
However, Roque won’t come cheap for Arsenal. Reports have suggested Athletico want €60m (£53m).
