Sunderland have parted company with Simon Grayson.

Sunderland are on the lookout for a new manager following the exit of Simon Grayson.
Grayson was appointed the Sunderland manager in the summer of 2017 following the departure of David Moyes.
Moyes left the Stadium of Light after failing to keep the Black Cats in the Premier League.
Much was expected when Grayson arrived at the Stadium of Light, but the team have failed to do much of note.

Expected to at least compete for a top-six finish in the Championship this season, Sunderland are in the relegation zone at the moment.
Following the Black Cats’ 3-3 draw with Bolton Wanderers in the league on Tuesday evening, Grayson was dismissed from his role as the manager.

Former Brighton and Hove Albion and Celtic player Adam Virgo has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Sunderland’s decision to part company with Grayson.
Virgo, who now works as a pundit for BT Sport and talkSPORT, has stated that he is not surprised at the decision, and also has a warning for the new manager.
Marco Gabbiadini, who played for Sunderland in the 1980s and 1990s, has also taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the dismissal of Grayson.
