Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk has taken to social networking site Twitter to send a message to his former Celtic teammate Stefan Johansen.

Johansen has joined Championship club Fulham from Scottish Premiership giants Celtic.

As announced on Fulham’s official website on Friday evening, the 25-year-old midfielder has signed a three-year deal with the London club, with the option of a further 12 months.

Van Dijk, who played with the Norway international at Celtic, has stated on Twitter that he is happy to see Johansen move to Fulham.

Former Fulham left-back John Arne Riise has also taken to Twitter to send a message to the Norwegian midfielder.

Johansen is a good midfielder and he did well during his time at Glasgow giants Celtic.

The Norway international could take some time to adapt to the rigours and the standard of the Championship, but Fulham fans should be optimistic about him being a success at Craven Cottage.

Fulham, who have made a good start to the season, will take on Blackburn Rovers away from home at Ewood Park in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
