Liverpool defender Joe Gomez suffered a serious injury against Burnley.

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has taken to Twitter to send a message to his teammate Joe Gomez.
Gomez could be out of action for up to six weeks due to a major injury he suffered against Burnley in the Premier League on Wednesday evening, according to BBC Sport.
The Liverpool defender fractured his left leg following a challenge from Burnley defender Ben Mee.
The 21-year-old England international – who earns £30,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – has taken expressed his disappointment at the injury, and his Liverpool teammate and Netherlands international central defender Van Dijk has sent him a message on Twitter.
Blow for Liverpool
Gomez is one of the best young defenders in the Premier League, and the injury to the Englishman will be come as a disappointment to Liverpool.

Although the Reds do have central defenders, Gomez has forced a strong partnership with Van Dijk and has made Liverpool one of the best defence in the Premier League.
Liverpool are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 39 points from 15 matches, just two points behind leaders Manchester City.
