Goals from Sadio Mane (2) and Virgil van Dijk fired Liverpool to an impressive away win over Bayern Munich.
The Reds won 3-1 at the Allianz Arena, looking a class above the German side who ran out of ideas.
Van Dijk has had kind words to say about teammate Mane.
Speaking to Liverpool’s official website he praised the Senegalese star’s impact, not just last night but throughout the season.
He said: “Sadio has been at a different level these last weeks, months, and he is having a fantastic season.”
Mane bagged a brace at the weekend and now boasts six goals in his last four games.
In his last 10 matches, Mane has scored 10 goals.
Last season he scored in the Champions League final, but his effort was quickly forgotten after Loris Karius’ calamity at the other end.
This year he and Liverpool remain on course to go one better.
