Southampton defender impressed with ex Celtic teammate Stefan Johansen who has been starring for Fulham.
It is two seasons since Virgil van Dijk helped Celtic to win a domestic treble, and his time at the club has not been forgotten.
The centre-back still keeps an eye on his old teammates, even those who have moved on like he has.
At the weekend he sent a message out on Twitter praising his pal Stefan Johansen, who has been in great form for Fulham of late.

Johansen was sold to the Championship side in the summer after manager Ronny Deila left the club.
Johansen has helped Fulham to ninth in the table, just four points off a play-off spot, drawing 2-2 with Derby at the weekend.
Norwegian international Johansen was superb in his debut season at Celtic, in which he played alongside Van Dijk, scoring 13 goals in all competitions.
He faded last season, netting only four goals, but he has matched this figure in just the last month for Fulham, and is emerging as a real force in the division.
