Tierney is one of the best defenders in the Scottish Premiership and is one of the most promising young left-backs in Europe.
The 20-year-old has established himself as a regular in the Celtic first team, and his performances in the Champions League so far this season have been hugely encouraging and very impressive.
The youngster, who can also operate as a centre-back, is a regular for the Scotland national football team as well.
According to ESPN, Premier League trio Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in signing the left-back next summer.
Former Celtic centre-back Van Dijk does not believe that there is any rush for Tierney to leave the Hoops.
The 26-year-old Netherlands international joined the Hoops from Groningen in 2013 and played for the Glasgow giants until 2015 before moving to Premier League outfit Southampton for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £13 million.
According to The Mirror, Liverpool wanted to sign Van Dijk in the summer transfer window, with the same publication claiming that the Dutchman is hopeful of a January switch to Anfield.
“I don’t even know if he wants to go to the Premier League,” Van Dijk told The Daily Record about Tierney. “Celtic is an amazing club for him as well and I don’t think there is any rush for him to leave.”
