Vinnie Jones has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 30th April, that he’d love to see the likes Andy Carroll and Peter Crouch at Leeds United.

Leeds have disappointed yet again this season, with their form since Paul Heckingbottom took charge worryingly poor.

Leeds have slipped all the way down to 14th place in the Championship table, and lost 2-1 to Norwich City in their most recent outing.

Peter Crouch of Stoke City during the Premier League match between Stoke City and Tottenham Hotspur at Bet365 Stadium on April 7, 2018 in Stoke on Trent, England.

Leeds have not played Premier League football since 2004, and Jones now wants more experience to be targeted.

The former Whites midfielder suggests that Carroll and Crouch would be the perfect sort of signings at Elland Road.

He said: “People like Andy Carroll and Crouchy, I’d like to see them at a Championship side like Leeds. If you asked me a magical formula to get out of the Championship, you need some of those old war horses.”

Whether Crouch or Carroll would be available for Leeds to sign in the summer remains to be seen.

Carroll is on hefty wages at West Ham United, and would have to take a significant wage cut to move to Elland Road.

Stoke, meanwhile, look set to drop into the Championship and if they are playing second tier football next year they may want to keep hold of Crouch.
